From the “Golden Age” of the early 19th century the Spode Museum collection contains several large Bone China tea and dessert services, featuring beautifully hand-painted floral, botanical, ornithological and Japanese subjects. There are also numerous specimen pieces from other fine services, items made for the Prince Regent and vases and decorative items of all descriptions, many of which are extremely rare.

The partnership between William Taylor Copeland and Thomas Garrett was short, just 14 years, from 1833 to 1847, but during that time the factory produced a considerable variety of new shapes and products.
